Oriel Pe’er is a director, producer, visual artist, and creative director with more than 15 years of experience developing cinematic work across documentary, branded content, performance, and culture.

As the founder and creative producer of The Llama Studio, he has led projects from concept and creative development through production, directing, cinematography, editing, and final delivery for established companies, brands, artists, and publications.

Oriel began his career in New York City, where he became the first Resident Filmmaker and Multimedia Artist at the internationally renowned dance company Pilobolus.

He is the director and producer of the award-winning feature documentary A Deeper Love: The Story of Miss Peppermint, a decade-long portrait of the Black trans performer, activist, and LGBTQ+ icon. The film has screened at 19 international festivals and continues to reach audiences through theatrical, institutional, and community presentations.

His work and projects have been featured and covered by NBC, The Hollywood Reporter, TIME, Pitchfork, NOWNESS, Billboard, The Guardian and other leading media outlets.
